Springs Preserve is located on a site with a deep historical significance. It is home to one of the richest and most unique cultural and biological resources in Southern Nevada, known as the “Big Springs.” For thousands of years, these springs provided water for Native American inhabitants and later pioneers and railroad workers. Recognizing the site’s significance, the Las Vegas Valley Water District opened Springs Preserve in 2007 to preserve and share this remarkable history.
